730 Star Light Star Bright Bath Melt

To start with, I have just one warning for this product… The glitter is prominent. I used this before a couple of years ago, but I couldn’t remember what it was like because as far as I knew other than the silver glitter, I thought this one was just plain white. I was a bit hesitant to use it because I didn’t want to be sparkly in a big important meeting at work. I was a bit on the fence about ordering it because I knew it was very glittery, I think glitter is fun and nice for a gift but, if you must work the next day or wash out the bath after the fun and relaxing feeling gets lost. I guess what I am trying to say is that this product is not an everyday kind of product purely because of the glitter. This makes it perfect for a Christmas gift.

Moving on to the product, it looks cool and fun if you ask me. It is a Christmas/New Year-themed product. If you can’t have a little glitter and sparkly at Christmas, when can you?

I must admit I was surprised at the scent; it was subtle and just enough to give the room a chilled-out and relaxing vibe. There is a hint of ginger which is a great winter scent no matter what you are doing. If I got my hands on another one of these I would wait until I had a long day of running around in the cold winter months and this would be the perfect accent on that type of date. The ginger would give a homely feel to anyone who is away from home over Christmas, who doesn’t love the smell of fresh gingerbread coming out of the oven?

One thing I did not expect of this one is to have soft silky skin when I was finished. I thought due to the sparkle this would be a fun bath bomb for children (or big adults) and it was colourful, but my skin felt amazing after (I wish I picked up another one). I was a bit sparkly, but it is worth it with the results of the skincare. I was surprised as it fizzed away because when I used this the first time a year or two ago, I don’t remember the beautiful colours being inside. I honestly thought the sparkle would be the main attraction for this one once the top layer of glitter has fizzed away you see an array of beautiful colours. After it was all fizzed out the water was this magnificent shade of purple, probably to represent space, after all, it was in the shape of a star.

I would almost go far enough to say it was a bath bomb melt. It has the moisturising quality of a bath melt but the colourful fun qualities of a bath bomb. I am not yet convinced about the Lush Bath Melts, but I am going to keep trying to convince myself that they are good for your skin.

If you had asked me before I used it, I probably would have told you that it wasn’t anything special, just a bit of glam. However, I am glad I purchased it this year as I did enjoy the product. I liked the experience of it fizzing away, the glitter added a bit of Christmas spirit and the presence of soft skin at the end made it for me.

If your skin is extremely sensitive then perhaps you better stay away from this one, I would just be very careful. I don’t have very sensitive skin, but it does have its moments and I have never had an issue with any of their products. I believe it is too late to purchase this one now as it is a Christmas product, but you might find one hiding at the back in a Lush Store. I would purchase this once again; I would recommend all to give this one a go but please be careful if you do suffer from sensitive skin. This year it cost £4.95, which is low for a bath melt.

I will be grabbing one or two if I see them in a Lush store and I am going to keep an eye out towards the end of the year to try and get my hands on a couple of them. I believe the Christmas bits start coming out towards the end of September or the beginning of October and they follow with the full launch at the end of November.
