I’ll admit, I have lost my mojo when it comes to products. I don’t really use a great deal and I don’t buy as many new bits anymore. However, I am still working on using up the backlog. I can’t believe how much there is. It is slowly going down; I have given away a few bits in between as well which has helped.
So, here are the bits I have used up:
1. Boots Brunette Dry Shampoo
2. The Body Shop Softening Body Milk in Moringa 250ml
3. The Cheeky Panda Biodegradable Bamboo Handy Wipes
4. Impulse Hint of Musk
5. Oriflame Beautanicals Shampoo and Conditioner
6. Spa Sanctuary Heal Balm
I know, it is a random bunch of products, but there we go.
Boots Brunette Dry Shampoo
They have updated the packaging since I bought it. I go through stages where I love dry shampoo and other periods when I just don’t use it. Since using this one up I haven’t really used it much. I have about a third of a can left (of the Batiste one) and I have had it for about 18 months or more. I can say the Boots one is a lot cheaper, and at the end of the day… it is just a dry powder that soaks up oil so in that sense they will all work quite similarly. It is the texturizing that most people enjoy when it comes to dry shampoo. It does a great job at hiding grey hairs temporarily if you haven’t had a chance to get your hair done before an event.
The Body Shop Softening Body Milk in Moringa 250ml
This was a weird one. I LOVED that it had a spray as it made it quick and easy to use. But… It didn’t seem to make any difference for me or my skin. It was a thin consistency, so it dried quickly/soaked into the skin quickly.
I am just not sure it did much for my skin. I didn’t hate it because it smelt amazing, the packaging was 10 out of 10. Unfortunately. I don’t think I would purchase it again, ita actually doesn’t look like they have this on sale anymore and I have no clue what I spent on it.
The Cheeky Panda Biodegradable Bamboo Handy Wipes
These just hopped into my basket… whoops. You may have worked out that I am a big fan of Panda’s. Not sure where it came about but even as a child, I really liked pandas. This means when I see a useful product that is Panda-themed, I typically buy it. I also have things bought for me that are themed as gifts.
I did have a trip coming up which could have been useful, so it was a win-win. They are a nice product, feel fresh, easy to use, easy to travel with, work well etc. The only thing I would request is that the wipes were a tad softer. They are a little harsh on the skin so I would avoid using them on children, they are definitely better for cleaning up a spill or stickiness. But keep away from a little baby face.
Impulse Hint of Musk
Impulse gives off a bit of nostalgia. It was so exciting when I would get the impulse set for my birthday or Christmas as a child. Do you remember the hype over sprays in secondary school? My favourite until I discovered this scent was Charlie Black. But these trumps most other deodorant sprays that I have smelt so far. It just smells so good. They aren’t heavy so super easy to shove in your bag.
I find them easy to spray (I have a dodgy hand and some things are hard to spray). The design is pretty, the smell is divine, and the price is nothing compared to expensive perfumes. This would be the kind of thing I would keep in the car, or locker at work for a quick sprit when I wanted it.
Oriflame Beautanicals Shampoo and Conditioner
I can’t lie… are these nice products, Yes. Do they smell good? Also, Yes. Do they smell good? Yep. They tick nearly every box. But the price… I just don’t like it. You are looking at nearly £30 for shampoo and conditioner. Which is not an affordable everyday product for the majority of people. Shampoo and conditioner are a product that you have to use for a longer time period to see good benefits from a product. But the price of this one is a what I can a ‘treat’ product. Do you know what I mean? The type of product you would buy yourself for a pamper evening at the end of a bad week, or as a little present for another person.
Spa Sanctuary Heal Balm
Now, this… I never thought I would have such strong feelings over a product you use on your feet. It smells very nice, refreshing, minty and overall pleasant. It is what it says on the tin... it is rich, it is creamy, it is great for moisturising your feet, it is nice to use and works. I would say one to three uses and your feet and soft. I give myself a little foot massage when I am putting it on, particularly on my injured foot. It gets the circulation going which helps to give you warm feet. (I HATE cold feet).
I will 100% purchase again. Without a doubt, I have gone through about 3 of these I think, maybe 4. I am coming to the halfway mark of my current one, so I will have to get another one. They have updated the packaging now so it will look different in the shop. I tend to stock up over Christmas when it is on offer or part of a gift pack. It is a little on the pricey side, but I can say it is 100% worth it.
