1448 No.7 Mini Haul November 2020

A little bit random, some of you will know that during the furlough season of spring and summer I redecorated my room. It was supposed to happen in March while I was on holiday but as the trip got cancelled the room didn’t get done. I know what you are thinking, what has redecorating got to do with a No.7 haul, well, in a roundabout way redecorating is the cause of this haul. How you ask, well let me tell you.

Those who have decorated will know that you end up moving a lot of furniture around. I did this but I was also trying to keep it relatively clean so was sorting, and reorganising while moving furniture around. I discovered a Boots voucher, no idea where it came from or how long I’d had it. Which meant I also had no idea if there was any money left on it. When I finally remembered to bring it with me, I popped into my local Boots and asked if there was any money on it. Luckily, there was £12 or £13 on it. I was expecting to be told that it expired 3 years ago. With the good news I thought, I know I will have a little look at No.7 and see if anything jumps out at me. Then and there this little haul was born. I called it a little because there are only 4 products.

Those products are:

  1. No.7 Blush in Apricot Blossom

  2. No.7 Stay Perfect Eye Shadow Primer 10ml

  3. No.7 Nourishing Cleansing Balm 125ml

  4. No.7 Instant Results Nourishing Hydrating Mask 100ml

Let’s have a quick look at those products. I have started using all four items. Usually, I put them to the back of the pile (I currently have a lot of unused products waiting to be used) but most of these were brand-new products to me so I thought I might as well kick them off for a change.

No.7 Blush in Apricot Blossom

So, I am not a blush kinda girl. My skin is naturally quite pink and red, so I always thought there is no point in emphasising this. I have had and used the same blush for years and haven’t dented it, so I figured it was time for a new one. I am not a fan of pink overall, so I wanted something subtle and suitable for all occasions. I knew No.7 is a nice baseline for makeup, they have most of the natural staples you would ever want. I was in quite a big Boots, and they had a No.7 stand. I picked the lightest pink of course, well the lightest one out of the ones there which was this one. I have used it, but only maybe 5 times. It is the perfect level of subtle and is buildable so would be perfect for a day-to-night look. I do want to use it a few more times before I give it my final opinion but so far so good. I would recommend it at this point.

No.7 Stay Perfect Eye Shadow Primer 10ml

I am going to blame an eyeshadow palette for this one. It is a beautiful palette; the shadows are marbled and stunning. I may tell you more about it another time. It is a little bit frustrating though. I heard somewhere that a pressed powder eyeshadow palette works a whole lot better if you use a primer. So, as No.7 skincare was 3 for 2, and this was included I picked it up. I have never been one for primers, I always thought it was just an additional product they can use to make more money. I haven’t found one that works. I thought I would give this one a try. I did try it once but it was late and dark so I couldn’t tell if it worked properly. Let me know in the comments below if you have tried this one or if you have a favourite primer. I am looking forward to upping my eyeshadow game.

No.7 Nourishing Cleansing Balm 125ml

I just wanted to try this one. I had never seen it before, but I have tried the Clinique balm which is good but expensive. I like how straightforward and beautiful and simple the packaging is. There is no fancy this and fancy that, it is just the product which is unique nowadays. I have only had a couple of opportunities to use it as I haven’t been wearing a lot of makeup recently. It works well, you don’t need a lot though. I have used it two or three times and I haven’t found an issue at all. I like that it comes with a little muslin cloth. The cloth earns brownie points and seems very upmarket and posh. So far, I would recommend it. It is going to last me a long time, you don’t need much at all. Maybe a pea-sized amount for your eyes and then sometimes I add a little bit for the rest of my face.

No.7 Instant Results Nourishing Hydrating Mask 100ml

I will be honest, this one I bought this one because it looks cool. I would love to know how they get it to look like that in the pot. I bet it is boring once you know but for now, I am very excited about it. One thing I will say about this one. You see the bottom there is a white-ish bit in the packaging, as you use it the product gets pushed up the pot which helps you not waste the product that gets stuck to the side which is also very fancy. I love packages that do that, you haven’t got to waste time trying scrap from the bottom or losing the product that dries around the edges. Again, I have used it two or three times, I am enjoying it so far. It is perfect for those days when you want to do a bit of self-care and use a mask, but you haven’t got 20 minutes to sit in a mask. Let me rephrase that because I refuse to believe people don’t have 20 minutes spare when they sit and watch EastEnders or Strictly for hours a week. 9 times out of ten I have 20 minutes but I either want to get changed or do something and I don’t want to stop and must go wash my face partway through etc. Overall, I do like this product so far. My skin has been so annoying and breaking out recently. Especially going into winter, hopefully, this will get rid of some of the dry patches.
