If you know me, you will know that I have been a big fan of lush for a while. It is a little pricey, but it adds something special to a relaxing bath when I do manage to get some products. Considering this, I thought to have a look at the website and pick out a few bits to create a wish list for myself and if I get asked what I would like for my birthday. I always find it handy to have a list that you would like so then you don’t get stuck when your family asks if there is anything you want.
So here are a few bits, well there is quite a lot here, but I probably won’t be buying all of it in one go because who needs all that in one go?
Big Bang - Bubble Bar
I want to try bubble bars but as it will be a new product I don’t know where to start, or how to judge a good bubble from a bad bubble. Who doesn’t like to start their relaxing evening off with a bubble bath? I have never heard of avocado butter before, so I am intrigued to try it out, I mean it is a fruit, how do you make butter out of it? There is citrus in it which is always refreshing and awakening so it would be a good product to use in a morning bath.
Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds - Bubble Bar
Let’s start with the important bit, it is blue. I have never had the chance to try a bubble bar as they are generally a little bit more expensive, so I never wanted to splash out enough to get a bubble bar and just stuck with the cheaper bath bombs. I seem to head for the wood-related smells recently, I am not sure why, but they have caught my attention, this would be a great product to try just before dinner or on a special occasion.
Fizzbanger -Bath Bomb
Does this make anyone else think of the BFG? It is yellow maybe not for a dark wintery night but great for a little morning pick me up at the weekend. It has popping candy in it which gives it a unique feel twist. With the description on the website, it seems to have all similar traits to a firework a Catherine Wheel is a type of firework in the UK so that says it all, doesn’t it? As it is yellow, as expected there is a citrus scent in there.
Frozen - Bath Bomb
Right off the bat, I automatically think of the cartoon movie Frozen. This is a bath bomb that would be great for children, but it has got rose oil in it so maybe it would be great for adults too. It says on the website that there is shine in this one so make sure your hair is above your neck and you don’t have an important business meeting straight after. I must say I am not a huge fan of the glitter ones because you get out of the bath covered in it, maybe I will give this one as a present when I get it, or just see if I like it.
Intergalactic - Bath Bomb
I love the colours. Normally when I see something bright, I run the other way, but this just looks amazing doesn’t it? The name suggests a resemblance space which is kind of cool no matter what age you are. Who doesn’t love the look of space? Okay, I am sold, this is a must-have, it has peppermint in it; I mean who wouldn’t like a minty space-looking bath in the evenings? I am beginning to think that this bath bomb was made for me, I mean the sky, blue, mint, and it has a hint of Cedarwood oil. I have high hopes for this one!
Lava Lamp - Bath Bomb
Again, this is out of the more expensive bath bombs at just under a fiver. The main ingredient for this bath bomb is extra virgin olive oil, so it is perfect for the summer when everyone is spending more time outside and at a higher risk of being dehydrated. I am not sure if they are still around but if you have heard of lava lamps or even owned one, they are very satisfying to watch. Having a lava lamp bath couldn’t sound more relaxing. It is moisturizing, colourful, a bit of citric in there, what more do you want in your morning bath? Fruit is just a happy scent, don’t you think? Many people said it left a residue on the bath so maybe I will use this one in the morning on a day that I am not going anywhere.
Pink Flamingo - Reusable Bubble Bar
I am not sure if I would mind the difference between the reusable ones to the normal ones, it is just on a stick rather than a bigger lump that you break up in your hand. This is going to be leaving soon so get your hands on it if you want one. I am not a huge fan of pink, but I do like flamingos. It sounds like a fruity cocktail, with various scents working together to create bubbles. It does have that oh-so-lovely wood scent in there as well so hopefully, I will enjoy this one.
Pop in the Bath - Bubble Bar
Typically, a bubble bar is a more expensive product, but this would be a good place to start as it is a cheaper one. There is nothing worse than buying a product and not liking it after splashing out to get it I am pretty much attracted to anything with blue in it so this is winning in that section, but it does have the word supercalifragilisticexpialidocious in it and nothing could be better, right? Zesty is also a good word, such a fresh and uplifting fragrance, my all-time favourite cakes are lemon drizzle so I will be sad to see this one go.
Tisty Totsy - Bath Bomb
it looks as though if you want to get your hands on this bath bomb you will have to do it very soon. I must say that again it doesn’t look very appealing to me. It is a bit earthy, and it leaves bits floating in the water which I don’t like. It would be a nice present because it is in a heart shape. It is based on a medieval love potion according to the description. It is a floral bath bomb which makes me question if I will like this one, but I think I will just give it a go before I say anymore. It could be relaxing with the floral ingredients, great for the morning of a summer event or a wedding.
Twilight - Bath Bomb
I have used this before and I will use it again. It is pink which straight away puts me off, but I do like it. This is a great bath bomb for the evenings, it is perfect to get out, get into your PJs and get into bed and read a book. The colours resemble the night creeping out from behind the sun, getting darker and darker. The main scent is lavender which is used to treat sleeping disorders. It has a sweet streak which is always great for relaxation, how many people choose to eat junk food such as sweet chocolate when they are relaxing? It would be nice after a walk or a workout day as it has anti-inflammatory factors to help with any aches and pains.
Yuzu and Cocoa - Bubbleroon
Don’t you just love the name? Bubbleroon just sounds interesting, doesn’t it? It is yellow so possibly not the most relaxing colour as far as lush products go but it looks like a fun product to try. If you want to give it a go I would get in quick because it is going to be leaving the shelves soon. It has Cocoa butter! I literally will try any product that contains cocoa butter; it is a gentle yet effective moisturiser. This product supposedly has a chocolate scent, which makes me think of chocolate orange with the citrus hints there as well. It would be a great way to start your day but perhaps not for winding down in the evenings as the citrus will wake you up ready for a productive day.
