798 Lush Mask Of Magnaminty (Face Mask)

I can’t remember who it was, but someone recommended this product to me. I was told that the product was brilliant for problematic skin. When I was told about it, I decided I would purchase this the next time I was in a Lush store. I have never used a face mask from Lush before and I love trying new products, so it was a win-win for me.

I am not going to lie, it was/is not my favourite scent. It is the sort of scent you know is going to be good for your skin. I was excited to try this product, I had heard such good things, and I couldn’t wait to get home to try this out. I prefer masks in a tube for hygiene reasons, but I get why this one belongs in a pot. From the consistency, this mask does care for your skin and exfoliates which is great for a healthy glowing appearance.

This product has 14 ingredients, all of which are safe and animal cruelty-free (I love this quality). Out of the 14 ingredients, there is only one that is not natural. Lush is a company that is very passionate about animal testing which I think is a brilliant ethos for a company, it will keep them in the news, great publicity for them. They also encourage recycling which I think is a great idea. It saves them money as they get their pots back and don’t have to make new ones. It saves us throwing them in a landfill, you can even reuse them.

Getting back to the face mask, it’s a minty scent and it gives a refreshed and clean feeling. The honey scent stands out for me, honey is a miracle when it comes to skin. It packs a good punch for bacteria and as that, it helps to keep your skin clean. The aduki beans in this face mask, which you probably have never heard of until now as I know I hadn’t, if you have heard of it, I am impressed. This is the ingredient that exfoliates. I am not sure if any company still uses plastic to exfoliate but I try to avoid those that do. Just think of where that plastic ends up once you have used it, think of the animals that end up eating this plastic.

This mask comes in two formulas, one is self-preserving, and one is not. The self-preserving version keeps itself clean without the use of salt or sugar. It just dries a little bit different but works the same, I will have to try them both and compare them for you at some point.

There is an ingredient in this mask that is an astringent would, it works by soaking up any oil which will help those of us with problematic skin. So far, I am still working on using the product up now. I can see myself continuing to use up the mask. It has helped with the angry areas on my face (the redness), and it works by drawing out all the rubbish and dirt. If you continue to use the product you will see the full benefits, with short-term use you can still see a difference, but long-term use will have a visible improvement in your skin.

This product is moreish, it makes you want to apply it again, it’s not my favourite thing to remove because it is a bit messy, but the results are worth it. The clean fresh feeling you get afterwards makes you want to spend time using this product. Between this and the Origins masks, I think I have found my favourites.

I chose to buy the smallest pot because I know Lush products are fresh and they do have a date on them also if I didn’t like it, I didn’t want 600g being wasted. At least with this at £7.95 I wouldn’t have been breaking the bank if it wasn’t a nice product. I also like to check that I don’t react because I have reacted to a couple in the past which is never fun.

Overall, I enjoyed this product. I will be repurchasing it, but I think I want to try the non-self-preserving mask first just to get the comparison if this product happened to turn up at my door, I wouldn’t be upset.
