As Halloween is coming up, I thought it was only fitting that I got a few bits from the Lush Halloween collection. I knew I wasn’t going to be anywhere near a Lush shop, so I thought I would do an online order.
I took a few minutes to decide if I was just going to top up my Lush basket or if I wanted to fill the basket to the brim. In the end, I decided I would only get a few bits. Mainly because I am cutting down the products I keep at home. It is handy to have a backup in your draw, but I seem to have many backups, possibly too many. I am working on getting my collection at least half the size of what it currently is. Another reason is that not many Halloween items jumped out at me this year. I tried a few last years and wasn’t a huge fan of them.
Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb £4.25
I didn’t smell this until it arrived, but I have got to say, I’m enjoying the scent. I am terrible at describing scents, the best I can do is tell you it is pleasant. Without looking at the ingredients I am unable to tell you what’s in it, I could probably guess the type of scent, for example floral, fruity etc but I couldn’t narrow it down to a flower or a fruit. The scent suggests something natural, and earthy but in a good way but by that, I don’t mean it smells like mud. I think this could be the scent of a fancy spa.
With that said, shall we head to the website and look? Okay so I had a read, and I was right about earthy, it is herbal based, which I suspect is going to be relaxing. As this is a limited-edition product for lush I might have to grab another one before it comes off the shelves but first I am going to try it. You never know I might not enjoy it. I don’t think I would usually pick a bright green as it strikes me as more for children but in this case, I can see myself loving it.
I had a quick look at the black pepper oil (one of the ingredients), which should be quite good for any aches and pains according to the details on Lush’s website. This could be a good one to use after the gym, a long week at work or school. To add a little bit of fun, this one also has popping candy in it. This would be a great product for a goody bag if you are hosting a Halloween party. Or, if you know a diabetic, they may appreciate this instead of the sweets which children traditionally receive around Halloween. Now, if you want to look at this one or purchase it follow this link and pick one up for just £4.25.
Monsters Ball Bath Bomb £4.95
Okay, how adorable is this bath bomb? This might be a product for children more than adults because of the cute design but who’s to say adults can’t enjoy it as well? I am not sure why I haven’t picked this one up before. I think partly because I have previously found other ones before I came to this one. However, I have now got my hands on it and I can’t wait to use it. I know I am going to have a hard time picking which of the three bath bombs I want to try first. From the ingredients, I am going to say this will wake you up and get you feeling like you can tackle that long to-do list will full force. It’s got some citrus in there which should get those sinuses awake and eyes wide open. I enjoy citrus bath and body products; the scent never gets old for me so this was a must for me this year. There are 4 top ingredients, 3 of which are oils so your skin should be feeling well nourished by the end of your soak. Lime oil is an astringent. You may not know what an astringent is, but in short, it is great for oily skin. A benefit of lime oil is the scent, it is indescribable, there is just something about citrus that I can’t get enough of. Another ingredient is Himalayan salt, now I have heard that this is also good for you. I have no clue why or what it does but hey, I will take what I’ve heard and try it out when I use this product. I know that it is an exfoliating ingredient which is never a bad thing if you ask me.
Are you interested yet? I don’t know about you but Lush does very well at convincing you to purchase the item by highlighting the good ingredients and how they work. If you would like to pick up one of these Monsters, head down to your local Lush store or if you are lazy like I am now, follow this link and purchase it online for just £4.95.
Eyeball Bath Bomb £4.95
What witch do you know that doesn’t use an eyeball in a potion? So, I’ve got to have one on hand ready for Halloween don’t you think? I am not sure if this is a new product for this year or if it is part of Lush’s typical Halloween range. I tend not to enjoy the floral products as much as the others so maybe I have made a bad choice here, but you don’t know until you try. I try to keep an open mind. It is orange mostly by the looks of it and that is my favourite scent now and very in keeping with Halloween. I am not so mad about the lavender because that is a floral scent, but I am willing to try it. When reading Lush’s website again, I learned that orange oil is anti-inflammatory.
I did not know that, but it makes me excited to try this, I might have to use it one night when it has been a long and busy day. It should help to unwind and get ready for going to bed. If you are like me and clumsy, then I would recommend this one straight away. I always have a bump, a cut or a bruise that needs a bit of TLC. Now, I have unboxed these items and they all had a pleasant scent; however, I cannot separate them in my head. I am just excited to get to use all three of these bath bombs. Keep your eyes peeled (see what I did there, Orange… peeled) for a review and possible repurchase of these products. I am hoping I have a positiveness to share with you but in the meantime, if you like the sound of this product you can go to your local Lush shop and grab one or two or heck get all three, or the alternative is that you follow the link I give you below where you can purchase it online for £4.95.
