Please bear with me, unfortunately for tonight this is all I could recover in time, but I am going to try to recover the rest (there were over 1000 words). Look forward to updates to tonight’s post tomorrow!
Shoot For the Stars – Bath Bomb
The first thing I am going to say about this item is that if you want one, get yourself to your local lush or online because it is leaving soon. I love the idea of stars; they are so bright. Who doesn’t want to shoot for the stars? What is the worst thing that could happen, miss? I think the metaphor for this is “don’t give up”. It is also blue which is my all-time favourite colour and has been for years. Of course, I am going to be putting this one straight in my basket. It could be one that I second guess if I am trying to stick to a budget, but this is on my list of things I would like to get. Something that makes me question it is the honey; I am not a huge fan of the scent. I would have thought I would love the scent because I love sweet smells but honey, I just can’t find myself enjoying it. I do like that the stars are bath melts, so it is technically two products in one item but not the same price as buying separately. These are £4.50 each which is the average price of a Lush bath bomb.
Christmas Sweater – Bath Bomb
I feel like Christmas Jumpers and either a love or a hated item of clothing, I have never met someone who just had normal feelings about a Christmas jumper, they are either against Christmas jumpers or you love them. Some people are almost to the point where you go over the top and have at least five Christmas jumpers each year. I would love to wear a Christmas jumper, but I always feel silly in them until the week before Christmas. I think maybe next year I will get a proper one, as they can be quite pricey and keep it throughout the year. Not going to lie I will probably end up wearing it as a bedclothes jumper. This year I think this type of Christmas sweater is one everyone could have and love. I want to give this one a go because it just looks so cute don’t you think? The one place you expect to be warm is in the bath unless you enjoy a cold bath. I have never heard of a cold bath. This product would be perfect for a long day of running around the shops. This bath bomb is also high on the ratings at 5 out of 5. It is also a bath bomb that costs £4.50.
Thundersnow – Bath Bomb
Is it just me or do you find thunder and lightning quite relaxing when you inside trying to sleep? I love the sound of the rain on the window late at night. I am looking forward to getting this one and trying it out. I just think with the colours and the thought of this would be perfect for a late-night steaming hot bath. It just looks like it is going to be so mesmerizing, spinning away while you are relaxing and getting ready for the festivities of Christmas day. Oooo, peppermint is included, I think this will be pretty good to have in the evenings with a quiet evening watching a movie in bed don’t you think? Thundersnow costs £4.50 just like the two above. As this is a part of the Christmas collection it will be leaving the shelves soon, get your hands on one quick if you want to give it a go.
Sherbet Dip – Bath Bomb
Do you remember when you were younger going to the shop and getting the 1p sticks of sherbet that you had to cut the top off and tip into your mouth? I wasn’t always the biggest fan of sherbet, but it was a great childhood sweet. I think this would be a great transitioning product, you could use this whenever you like, it doesn’t have to be just Christmas. I think this is a summer memory but an all-year-round product, I remember standing outside the sweet shop in the sun trying to break the top of the sticks. This is quite a big product which I love because you feel like you are getting your money’s worth. I think this is a type of Fizzbanger which wasn’t my favourite. With the bright yellow look, it will temporarily take you back to the summer, so it is perfect in the winter. If you want to go for a cheaper bath bomb, then this one is perfect for you. It is quite a big one was it always fun. It contains citrus making it perfect for a morning bath, refreshing and uplifting ready for a long day of shopping. This one is just £3.75.
Candy Mountain - Bubble Bar
Candy Mountain bubble bar is one of the most wanted items by me, I would prefer the penguin, but I will settle for Candy Mountain. I love a good bubble bar, who wants normal Radox? When you can get something called Candy Mountain why do you need a liquid bubble bath? Maybe the penguin will get released closer to Christmas. (I do believe it is now available in certain stores). I am not particularly excited that it is pink, but it does have vanilla, so it evens out. I do love how bubble bars are more than one use; you get your money out of them whereas a bath bomb is just one use. I mean if it was £5 each time it would work out very expensive, but this bubble bar is only £3.25 which is also a bonus.
Christmas Cracker – Bubble Bar
Who wants a Christmas cracker? Do you have them around the table when you are having Christmas dinner, or do you have them at new year’s? Do you always have a box of them left over until July when you decide it is time to get rid of them or do you put them at the back of the loft or attic and then can’t find them when Christmas comes round again? Does anyone find the jokes in them funny? Now and then you get pretty or fun prizes, but they end up in the bin anyway. The hats never fit, or at least they never fit me. It is another citrus number, uplifting and awakening I assume. I am not sure if I am a fan of the popping candy in the bath, it isn’t very relaxing in my opinion, it does have popping candy, but I think that’s more for the children, I think. This bubble bar is a little more on the pricey side at £5.95.
Plum Snow – Bubble Bar
Plum snow, I think this could be a lovely product. I am not a huge lover of plums, but I think at Christmas time it would work great. I have always wanted to wake up Christmas morning to snow falling or if it was settled on the ground I wouldn’t mind. So far in my 21 years of life, this has not happened. I have seen snow just never on Christmas day. I am intrigued by the scent of this, most of the lush products I have an idea of what they would smell like and if I would enjoy the smell. This time I am just hoping I do; I don’t have any expectation of the scent. It has a good rating at 4.4 out of 5; a couple of the reviews have suggested it is like the plum rain. This is also a £5.95 bubble bar.
The Snowman – Bubbleroon
I am not sure what the difference is between a bubble bar and a bubbleroon if anyone can tell me please do not hesitate. I will miss the penguin, but I will take a snowman over a penguin for a year. I have noticed lush has got a lot of lemon products going on. I am not particularly against the lemon, but it isn’t everyone’s favourite, it is more of a summer fragrance than a winter one don’t you think? This product contains shea butter so it should be very hydrating. I do want to give this one a go, it is just too cute to pass up. It is £4.25 per bubbleroon.
Baked Alaska – Soap
Baked Alaska is soap, I dunno about you but I do find this soap appealing. It is a good chunk of soap, so it seems worth for the price. The bright colours suggest that it would be very awakening if you used it in the morning before going to work in the winter when it is pitch black outside. I think using this would result in a very fresh feeling. There are no reviews, but I am sure I have seen this product before. I want to give this a good because it looks like you get a good amount for your money, I hate spending money on items that seem like it is a waste, or you aren’t getting your money’s worth. This bar of soap is £4.50 per block but it doesn’t say how much you get for that.
Christmas-Citrus – Soap
You gotta have a bit of green around the house at Christmas time. Is it me or does everyone seem to get a gift set of toiletries for Christmas and you never use it? Well, this would be one that I do use or at least I think I would use it anyway. The price of this product is £5.10 for 120g which is a little pricey but alright for an occasional buy. I can say that lime is not usually my favourite scent to have but I will give it a go. There are no reviews so all I can do is hope for the best. Great sap for getting ready for work in the mornings.
Snowcloud – Soap
Okay, I don’t know about you, but a snow cloud just sounds super soft and cosy. If you can’t be cosy at Christmas time, when can you be cosy? If you live in the UK, you have experienced some snow and ice over the past week or so, for some reason, it comes by surprise every time and no one is prepared. If you are anything like me cold weather is your downfall, I just can’t handle it. Everyone I know laughs at how I manage to be cold under 3 fleece blankets. I haven’t tried a lush soap, I am not sure why, but I just haven’t. This one seems very wintery with rosewood and citrus ingredients. My local lush is quite a small one so I might have to order this online. I feel like this is a product that could be a let-down because how much can you love a soap? It is a small bar as well so when it is over £5 it needs to sing and dance as much as soap could.
Christmas Rocker – Soap
I think this one is more of a present than one I would personally use just because it is the classic rocking horse that a child would play with, maybe not in this day in age but it is an all-time classic from years ago. It is a colourful product which you can’t expect any less from Lush which also points more towards a child or young teen. I mean, there is nothing wrong if you are an adult and want this. I think the shape could annoy me, I can’t see it moving through my hands very well and who has time to mess around in the morning sorting out the soap? The colour suggests a citrus scent as does the description which is exciting for me. I am not sure why, but oranges scream Christmas to me, I think it was because when I was younger, and Santa came round on his trailer they would give out oranges to all the children. This would be perfect to use in the morning when you are getting ready, and it is pitch black outside still.
Shooting Star – Soap
Straight away I think that I am not going to love this one. The lime green colour is just going to be a bit too bright in the morning, I think. I would have personally done it a blue colour with the star being white or yellow as the star because that would say shooting star to me. However, looking at the ingredients I can see why this product is green. It is lime and lemon; it is a little risky because I react sometimes if there is a lemon ingredient in products but hopefully this will be fine. This would be a good one to wake yourself up on a cold dark winter’s morning. I have a love-hate relationship with getting up early in the winter, in one way it is cosy because you are wrapped in your dressing gown and maybe a blanket, with a hot cup of tea and you might have the heat but on the other hand you are shivering trying to get dressed. I am hoping if I get this one, I will wake up and be ready to shiver. Looking into the ingredients, what is a star fruit? I mean it sounds cool, but I have never heard about it. There are three different oils in this so should be very good for your hands, but I would avoid using it on my face completely.
