700 Lemon Bubble Brush Reusable Bubble Bar

I wasn’t planning on buying this because I thought it would be a pain to use and store. I have someone in my house that struggles with anything smelly. This means I can use Lush but while I’m not using it, the products must be locked away where the scent is not as prominent or sellable at all.

I tend to keep the products I’m not currently using in a box under my bed which usually means the spot under my bed smells amazing. It would be handy if this product came with something to rest it on while it is still wet after usage. I am aware that one of the main points of this product is that there is no packaging. I am always worried that it is going to stain the bath or the windowsill because the colour pigment is very strong. However, so far, the colour has not stained anything.

I personally like products you don’t have to think about (for example Bath Bombs). The ones where you can pop it in the water and there is no further action required. The last thing I want to do when trying to have a relaxing bath is to mess around trying to use a product. This product comes in three colours, yellow (this one), pink and blue. I didn’t plan on getting all three, but I did, it is the only way you will discover which one you like best. I think I will like the pink the least, it seems quite overpowering, but I won’t know until I try it.

Anyway, back to the lemon bath bubble bar. I love the idea of these, it could be great for children in the bath. It is in the shape of a paintbrush, so you can flick it (once it has been put under the tap) and paint the side of your bath or the bubbles. Whoever thought about this, had children in mind. I did try both flicking the colour and painting the bubbles, why not? It makes quite a few bubbles for just a few seconds of holding it under running water. I would recommend 30 seconds or more if you want lots of bubbles. You can always add more if you find you don’t have enough. Also, you can never have too many bubbles.

The only thing that makes me nervous about this one is if the product falls off the stick because it has melted away from the stick during the running water. I have used this 4-5 times now and the gap around the stick has been enlarged but it hasn’t fallen off yet. I have started only holding the end under the water. I estimate you would get at least 5-6 baths out of this product. It is selling in Lush for £5.95 if you get 6 baths out of this product which is £1 per bath. In the long run that is a little expensive for bubbles, I mean Radox only costs £1 and you get multiple baths out of one bottle, but this is nice for a treat.

The scent on this is quite subtle, I thought it would be really strong and sickly but so far it has been pleasant. I don’t think this will be a staple, but I do think I would purchase this again. It has just a nice hint of lemon, perfect for a nice and chilled relaxing evening. It doesn’t jump out at me and shout wow, but it is not an awful product. I can see myself using this again in the future. I have the other colours to use first. Let me know how you get on, or if you plan to purchase it for a friend.
