788 Boots Botanics Refreshing Eye Roll-On

This comes with quite a long story which I am going to shorten for you. (Save you from boredom, I may share the story in detail later, please let me know if you would like to know). The short version is I managed to get an infection close to my eye and let’s say it was a nasty infection (I ended up being admitted to hospital). I am completely fine now (there is a small chance I can get it again) but I haven’t so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Anyway, after this happened to my eye, for a few weeks my eye was quite sensitive and was left with a small mark/scar underneath. I let that settle down, but I decided I was going to look after my eyes a bit more. I don’t care about scars, I’ve got quite a few on my arms and legs from various childhood and adulthood trips and falls and they haven’t got in the way, they don’t affect my life in any way so why worry about them? I think if I was severely disfigured it would be a slightly different story, but I have small ones that you barely notice. However, I decided that I wanted to look after my eyes as you only get two during my lifetime. I started looking at creams you can use under your eyes. I honestly had no clue where to start because the skin under your eyes is delicate and I wanted to be careful with what I put on them.

This is the second eye product I have tried. I enjoyed the metal roller ball, it felt cooling and refreshing on your eyes, but I don’t think it is doing much else. I gave up on the product in the end because I didn’t see a difference after a month or so and didn’t find myself remembering to put it on. Well, I say gave up, it was more I kept forgetting to apply it because I saw no difference in my skin.

One thing I did like is that it wakes you up in the morning and felt soothing, especially on tired eyes. If you know me, you will be aware of the current position I have with my wrist so trying to use this product on a bad day just wouldn’t work. I don’t hate the product, but the formula could do with a bit of work overall. The main goal of the product is refreshing tired eyes and it didn’t quite work for me, so I am going to give this one a miss on my next trip to Boots. If you decide to give it a go, please let me know because I would love to know your thoughts. If I ever see it on offer, I might give it another go but I am not going to rush into getting another one.
