605 Barry M Cappuccino Nail Varnish

Okay, Barry M if you are reading, what happened? Please bring this colour back, I was and still am gutted that I can’t find this anywhere. It was such a lovely transition colour, get for smart occasions or work but also looked nice if you were going out after work.

I have always been a fan of the Barry M nail varnishes; the colour range is humongous. They pretty much have a colour for every occasion. My nail varnish collection is quite extensive (but has recently diminished), especially for Barry M. I had around 60 nail varnishes because I went through a phase where I felt I needed as many colours as I could get my hands on. I would say over half of them were Barry M but a lot of them have dried up now, so I have had a sort out.

I enjoyed their nail effect ones, if you know Barry M you will know what I am talking about. They did a croc style. You should put a bright colour on underneath, then put a layer of this on top and it would shrink as it dried giving a cracked effect. I don’t remember purchasing this one (Cappuccino) because I’ve had it for so long. It was my all-time favourite nail varnish, I would take off the chipped old coat and put it straight back on. It just looked good with everything, it was as if it was the new black, you could wear everything with it. A woman I worked with wore the same colour and I recognised her straight away. I would highly recommend looking through your nail varnish, if you have a cappuccino, please let me know because I am willing to buy it from you. I have assumed it has been discontinued as I can’t find it anywhere. I haven’t yet found a dupe. I’ve found close, but not quite matching.

If you have ever used a Barry M nail varnish, you will be aware that it is an easy varnish to work with. The brush is a bit thin, but the varnish doesn’t dry too quickly so you can play around and get the right shape without messing it up. I prefer them to take a little longer to dry as it gives you the chance to correct lumps or if you flood your nail. At the same time, I smudge it if it takes too long which annoys me. The packaging of the Barry M varnishes is great, they have made it too easy to store I think because they sit so neatly next to each other, which looks neat but is also great for space. I hate products that are unnecessarily big and bulky, it makes them hard to travel with.

I would 100% repurchase this item if I could. I keep having a look around to see if I can see one or a close dupe but no luck so far. I would recommend trying it if you can find one. If you do find one, get one for me and I’ll pay to have it sent.
