1303 All the Smells – Volume 2

If you have already read Volume 1 you will know what this is all about. If you haven’t here is a little bit about this post. I got obsessed with sprays and perfumes for some reason, I was never one that bought them or used them very often. However, over the past 12 months, I have felt the urge to buy some. It got a bit out of hand, and I ended up with 50. I thought I would share the ones I have, what I liked about them and why I bought them.

I split it into three volumes because it was getting a bit too long. Today I am going to be telling you all about my body mists and body sprays. Well, here goes nothing, the products we will be discussing today:

  1. Bath and Body Works Be Enchanted 236ml

  2. Bath and Body Works Carried Away 236ml

  3. Oriflame Sensity Sun Sparkle 200ml

  4. Oriflame Sensity Pink Bloom 200ml

  5. Oriflame Sensity Midnight Mist 200ml

Okay, shall we start? Some are completely random, and others are part of a collection and are very similar.

Bath and Body Works Be Enchanted 236ml

LOVE this one and I cannot believe they gave retired it. It is such a lovely scent, literally have never worn it without getting a compliment. My auntie lives in America so whenever she visits, she bought me a little something and one year it was this, I have been hounding her ever since to send me more over from America and I send her Cadbury chocolate in return. I have been using this since 2012! I am now on my last bottle, and I am reluctant to use it because I know I will never be able to get it again. I plan to use everything else up first. I mean the size of the bottles lasts me forever, I don’t know how people get through perfumes in a month, I still have a spray from 2012 that I am still using and no it hasn’t gone bad so well done to bath and body works. If you happen to be reading this, please send me every one of the enchanted sprays. I did not think I would, but I found it on the Bath and body works website it has pomegranate in it, which I did not know. Smells so good though.

Bath and Body Works Carried Away 236ml

Bath and Body Works, you have done it again. Made an amazing spray! I mean it is Bath and Body Works right, did you expect me to not like this one? I don’t know how they do their scents; I haven’t heard anyone speak of one that is a bit off. They have some good noses working for them. This one is nice and fresh, floral and has a bit of a fruity vibe to it, a perfect everyday scent. I have a feeling it might also be a retired one.

The only thing I can think of is one day at work and colleague said the following: “Sophie, you know that nice stuff you spray every so often, can you spray some”. I do like this one but not my favourite if I could repurchase this one I would, but I am physically unable to buy another one as they do not make it.

Oriflame Density

Right so, you may already know but I have been into this brand called Oriflame. It is a cool company. It is based in Sweden and their products are decent. Anyway, I bought one of these on offer it was about £9 I think, and I have this incessant need to try collections of things, so I went ahead and bought all three of them. The three of them are called:

  • Sun Sparkle 200ml

  • Pink Bloom 200ml

  • Midnight Mist 200ml

I like the bottles on these, they are a little tall so you would have to keep them on a tall shelf or the top shelf. I keep all my sprays in a box under my bed, so they are accessible when I want them but mostly out of the way. The website does not describe the scents very well unfortunately, it is a shame. I think they would sell much better if they were described more. However, here is my take on each of them, it may not be accurate but hopefully it will give you a rough idea of what to expect.

Sun Sparkle 200ml

Sun Sparkle, what a cool name! Everyone loves a bit of Sun (well most people) and sparkle is always fun (unless you drop glitter on a rug), so I love the name of it. The spray is fresh (perfect for the mornings) and fruity (perfect for all the time).

Pink Bloom 200ml

Okay, so the second bottle, is on the pink side and is called Pink Bloom, a nice name, right? I don’t know about you but the first thing that comes to mind when I see the words pink bloom is flowers. Honestly, there is not a lot I can tell you about this one as I haven’t used it a great deal yet. Have you used it? If you have, please let me know below. I would love to read your comments.

Midnight Mist 200ml

Well, we are down to the final chapter of the Oriflame Sensity. The final one I will tell you about is the first one that I bought; it is called Midnight Mist. I don’t know about you, but I like things that are described using the words midnight, it makes it all mysterious and appealing. I would say this one has a floral scent, but I am not great at describing scents. If you have used this one and you disagree, please feel free to let me know.

Oriflame Scent Sensational Fragrance Mist 100ml x2

There is no other way than to say I LOVE this one. It is gorgeous, beautiful and oh did I mention I love it? It is exceedingly rare that I smell a spray and have an instant reaction of I need to buy another one! It is that good, I even broke my put it to the back of the pile rule and started using it the day I got it. I have now tucked it away safe and sound and ordered a second one. Oops. Why have you ordered a second one you ask? Well, purely because I needed a second one. I can’t just have one. I think I am going to keep one of them in my car, or maybe at a house that I visit often or perhaps on my desk at work. Can you tell how excited I am about this one? Something that I LOVE about this spray is you can pair it with the Oriflame Scentsational Fragrance Mist to create a third unique scent. Isn’t that cool, they typically say don’t mix but this one breaks the rules and tells you to mix. Don’t you love a good rule breaker? It is such a pretty scent, it’s fruity, it’s floral, it’s so good. I think the fragrances by themselves are both everyday scents but when you put them together you have yourself an evening scent.

Oriflame Aphrodite Body and Pillow Mist 100ml

Right, so this is a new one that I did break the rules and I have continued to use it. I have always had trouble getting to sleep, some days I am wide away at 5 am. I have always wanted to try the various pillow sprays you can get, but they are mostly lavender. I don’t like lavender. When I saw this one, I ordered it straight away and I think it works. Each night I have sprayed this I have slept well. I spray it a couple of times throughout the night, so it has the time to fill the room. There is only one word that I can think of to describe this one. And that word is Spa. I hope you know what I mean, it is like that tranquil calming scent every spa has.

Victoria Secret Bare Vanilla 250ml

Well, I love it, that is, it. I just love it. I never fell into the hype of these when they first blew up years ago. They were the spray to have when I first started secondary school at the age of 11 to 16. Everyone had these, everyone wanted them, and I know someone who I believe has every single one ever released. It was the ‘cool’ thing to have. In December 2019 I had a procedure done on my right wrist. Anyway, after having this done, the first time I was able to drive again I thought I would treat myself to a couple of these and boy was I happy I did. I do not know what it is about vanilla I am just obsessed with anything with vanilla in it. I like vanilla ice cream and most of my sprays and perfumes have vanilla in them. This one is described as powdery vanilla which is sort of right. It is a beautiful scent. This could be one of my top 3 that I constantly want to spray repeatedly.

Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Lace 250ml

This one has the same story as the one above. Vanilla does seem to be my weakness. I appear to have to purchase anything with the slightest hint of vanilla. I am sure I sound like a scratched record right now, but I have not had the chance to use this one a whole lot yet. I am sure those of you who have been around lately will already know but I am on a mission to cut down the amount of stuff I keep. I plan is to use the same spray until it runs out instead of changing it up every day, that way I figure I will use them up consistently. Crazy I know. I have got to admit, I do love the size of these bottles; they have a decent amount of product in them for the price, but they have made the packaging sleek and easy to work with. The posh glass bottles are luxury, but they are bulky and heavy. I am glad I got this when I did because I cannot find it anywhere. I think this one is more on the musky side compared to bare vanilla.

Revolution Soph x body mist 236ml

I will give you 1 guess as to why I bought this one, stop reading and pop your answer in the comments. Have you guessed? Good. Okay, okay, I will tell you. It’s got my name on it. It is called Soph. How could I just leave it on the shelf when it was saying my name? There is also vanilla, so it gets 2 points straight away. I randomly found it in my local B&M. If you are unaware of what B&M is, it is the kind of shop that is good for prices, but you are probably not going to see the same thing twice so grab it if you like it. Revolution is a cruelty-free brand (impressive), which is truly awesome, I have never really looked at revolution too much, but I think I will now. It is sweet which tends to be what I lean towards, but it is a bit sickly sweet. I think this one might be more of a room spray than one I would wear. It has vanilla in there, which is my favourite, but I think the Crème Brule is what makes it sickly for me. I haven’t seen this one before if I am honest, I just happened to be queueing when I spotted it. I know you can buy it online directly from the Revolution website, but I am not sure where else.

Soulcal & co exotic night body mist 236ml

Again, love the bottle the same. It is simple but looks good. This one I purchased in Tesco. I didn’t need it so arguably it was a waste of money, but it will get used eventually so hopefully, it will be less of a waste when I get to it. As I have mentioned, I used things one at a time. That way you run out of things one by one instead of all of them at once but having to store them all for five years. I have started using them as room sprays so my room can smell nice (we are decorating so it smells of paint a lot now) and I get to enjoy them without wasting them or having to gift them to people and never being able to enjoy the scent that I paid for. Doing a quick search online, Tesco appears the cheapest and has no delivery because you can grab it next time you go shopping for food.

Charlie Enchant body spray 75ml

I have got to say, I am not a huge fan of this one. I don’t know if I got a dodgy one or if I am just not a fan of the scent. There is something off about it, almost like it has expired but I bought this one brand new, and it had the funny smell. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it. I will probably use it up and then not purchase it again, or maybe I will give it to my mum to use for work. She always takes a little spray with her because she works in a care home so you never know when you might need an impromptu air freshener if you know what I mean. I do have to say I like the design on them now, it is a very holiday, tropical sun vibe. I think the word musk makes it an attractive spray. It is floral and has a bit of a woody scent, let me know what you think. Another good thing about this spray is you can buy it pretty much wherever you go, Tesco, ASDA, Morrisons, Superdrug, Boots, Pound Land, Savers and maybe even your local corner shop. It ranges in price, anywhere from 80p to £1.10 depending on where you get it from.

Impulse Hint of Must 75ml x3

Another one that I didn’t understand was the hype, I have never been mad over Impulse, a lot of people love them and even swear by them. For me, they are very casual and don’t last an exceptionally long time compared to perfume or body mist. I tend to reach for it if I am just popping to the corner shop, or if I need to pop up quickly. Instead of using up a more expensive perfume. Impulse has been around for as long as I can remember, and this is the first one that I have actively chosen the same one for a second and third time. I tend to grab one if I see it on offer as they are cheap and easy to throw on, but I will admit I do not need 3 of them!

Superdrug Layering Lab Blossom 100ml x4

I am going to blame my mum. She is the one that wanted these in the first place. When they first came out it was impossible to find them, they were sold out everywhere. I happened to find some in a Superdrug on Oxford Street. I bought quite a few, I might have even cleared the shelf. Everyone is saying that this smell of Alien (I almost said tastes then). Alien is £57 for just 30ml (crazy). I wouldn’t pay that much for 30mls even if someone paid me to. (I did not know it was that expensive). You could get 14 (1400ml) bottles of Blossom for the 30ml Alien perfume. The packaging isn’t top of the line, but I haven’t had any issues with it, it sprays nicely, and it isn’t bulky or an awkward shape. It is easy to carry around and you can layer it with another spray to make your scent. I am not always near a Superdrug so if I happen to pass one, I grab a couple if they are on offer which is how I have ended up with 4. I did intend for two to be gifts, but I keep forgetting about them, so I purchase other things.

Superdrug Layering Lab Sorbet 100ml x3

Hmmm, this just jumped into my basket. I’m not joking, it grew legs and jumped in my basket… 4 times. See I have given one as a present, which the girl loved, I think she might have even used it all already. I don’t know how she does it. The plan was to get 2 for me, and then 2 as presents because they were on an offer. I forgot about them, so I only got to give one as a present. It just means I have backups for when I do not forget a friend’s birthday. There is a collection of Layering Lab sprays, the whole idea is that you can layer them and make lots of scents. I wish I had known this; I would have bought different ones instead of the same ones but never mind. The good thing is these are pretty much always on offer. It has a rating of 4.8 on the Superdrug website. One of the reviews compares it to Viktor (£50 a bottle). Do you agree with them?

So…? Wild Berries 100ml

Yes, you guessed it, I was testing the sprays. I liked this one and yes, of course, it was on offer. I believe it was buying one get one-half price. So, I chose two and I gave one away as a gift. I love beauty products when it is on offer like this because you get to test them, and you get a cheap gift. Isn’t it such a pretty bottle? I like the colourful bottles; they seem a lot more fun (and not posh). These are £3.99 a bottle which is a decent price. I was talking to my uncle just the other day and he paid £200+ for a 100ml aftershave! Ridiculously expensive and completely unnecessary. You know full well if a company can make a profit on selling sprays for £3.99, how much profit is being made on the £200 a bottle spray and how undeserving are the company that charges £200 a bottle. I would much rather support an affordable company that sells decent products.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Spray 45ml

This one came in a gift set that I got at Christmas. I don’t know much about this one, I just popped it with my other sprays. It is called Sugar Crush, so I am going to assume it is a sweet scent. There is some sort of citrus fruit on the front, it is either orange, lemon, or lime. You will never guess what, it has got vanilla in it! Do they just put vanilla in every scent? I may have to dig this one to use next, it will be a good bag spray as it is small. I will have to see if I can put other ones in the bottle because it is such a nice size to carry around.

If you have had this or you would like to try this let me know in the comments below. It is not a bad price at £4. What’s not to love, it is a little travel-friendly bottle, citrus, vanilla, and decent size as well. It’s a win-win. You can get your hands on it for just £4 but you may have to hit up eBay, it is sold out on the Soap and Glory website.

Did you like any? Have you got any? Is there one that you have wanted but have never picked up? Let me know and share recommendations! That is the end of my body sprays out of my spray collection.

Don’t forget to go back and read Volume 1 if you haven’t already, might find some juice perfumes you haven’t heard of yet and stay tuned for Volume 3.
