When, if ever, is taking a human life justified?

My Answer: Hmmm, still quite tricky. I don’t agree that criminals get to live in prison with three meals a day, with no worry they will lose the roof over their heads, but then you risk giving a death penalty to a innocent person.

A Friend’s Answer: When they are deliberately and actively trying to kill you.

My Answer: Never… the only time I would say there is a slight balance is if you take a life… then you should lose yours. Otherwise, you are no better.
