2916 Do business owners have the right to refuse service to customers?

My Answer: Yep! Humans have the unfortunate ability to be so rude and plain evil/mean, someone who has worked their lives to build a business should have the option to turn away humans who wish to rain on their parade.

A Friend’s Answer: I think businesses can refuse service to abusive customers or on the grounds of public safety but not for protected characteristics etc.

My Answer: Depends on the situation but if they feel the need to do so they probably have a good reason so yes, they should have the right.

A Friend’s Answer: Yes, if the reason for refusal is within the person’s control. E.g., their behaviour.
