82 Where are you?

So sadly, I missed Monday’s post due to a few things. I have decided to tell you a little about what I’ve been up to instead.

I have been helping backstage at a theatre. They are getting ready for a production called The Wizard of Oz. You all know what The Wizard of Oz is about the Witch and the Ruby slippers. There will be more detailed posts as to what I got up to, but I just thought I would let you know as I missed a post.

The technical side of theatre is a lot more complicated than most people realise. Even I was surprised, I mean you would think, sound, lighting, set etc. Nope, there is a long long list of things and often includes about 20 crew members to get everything done. I might tell you a little bit about the tricks they use on the stage, but I may put those in a private post so people who want to keep the magic real don’t accidentally read it.

The show hasn’t yet started it is just getting everything ready and introducing the cast too -props that they are going to be using and showing them anything that might not be obvious.

We have done quite a lot so far it is just the finishing touches on the basic things for the stage now but after that, it will probably be a little bit of tweaking and doing other things, like fixing things that get broken or changing the set around. Helping with rehearsals etc.

Right better go, I need to get ready for tomorrow, hope this helps and you’re not too disappointed as to there not being a normal post, I will get back into the routine with them I am just a little bit busy at the minute.
