It was the long old year 2020, wasn’t it? I am sure most of you are wanting to get shot for 2020 and I can’t say I blame you. It wasn’t my best year I will give you that, but I did get to spend a lot of time with my family, and I did get to decorate my room finally!
Unfortunately, 2020 did leave me with a broken ankle/foot but I am still glad for the chance to move on with life.
I thought it was only fair that we say a proper goodbye to 2020 officially. It may have been a rubbish year, but it deserves a goodbye, right? Try to think of the positives. Many of us did lose some loved ones but we also got to spend a lot more time at home with our loved ones or at least speak to our loved ones.
I want to take a second to honour those of have been taken during our time in 2020, that is something that will never be okay, but it is something we will slowly learn to live with our lives. I have always said the worst day of loving someone is the day you lose them. I will be honest, I haven’t been listening to the news of other countries and how they are dealing with the pandemic, I have been ignoring the news in the UK too. I have just been doing as told when the rules change.
We found out tonight in the UK that we are going into another lockdown across the country. I believe this is the third lockdown. I was also put on antibiotics for a week today which is always fun (I am joking for anyone worried). Rona aside, what plans has everyone got? If you did set resolutions, let me know in the comments below, you never know, you might inspire someone else that reads. You could end up being an inspiration without knowing it.
I shall keep it short and sweet for the first post of the year, I just wanted to say hello and wave in the new year. So, Happy New Year everyone. Stay safe and look after those all-important loved ones.
