65 No 7 Stay Perfect Lip Lacquer – Nectar

This was the first lip lacquer I bought. I haven’t really been a fan of any products that you put on lips, to be honest. I generally stick to lip balm as this is good for your lips and mine are in constant need of lip balm. I have about 20 of them. I keep one at each person’s house that I regularly go to, and I keep one in my bag and or coat pocket.

So I didn’t know what to expect when I first used this. It could have been horrible it could have been really nice and I didn’t have anything to compare it to. I like new things that you don’t have anything to compare with because you will actually rate the product on the product not if it is better or worse than the product you have used before.

I did really like how this product was thin, in fact, it is a very thin consistency, and the applicator works great. One thing I have found with this is your lips have to be bone dry and free of any kind of products. I normally put a lip balm on before I do my makeup but if you are using this product make sure you clean off the balm first.

I would say you have to be careful with this because there are two products you put on and if you don’t leave the correct time between it might not work as well. The first layer (the colour) needs to be dry enough so you can put on the second gloss but not take any product off if you leave it too long it gets into a tacky situation where your lips stick together. Now, this is okay but if you don’t do anything about it your lips may get very dry, and the dead skin will be visible.

If you do put the second layer on too quickly then you are likely to see some colouring on your brush and possibly uneven coverage on your lip.

I really like that with this product it is easy to build a nice dark coverage by just layering it on a few times but leaving about 10 seconds between applications please be careful with edges as it is in effect a stain so if you go over the line it could be a pain in the bum to remove.

All in all, I really like this product, I know this review isn’t very positive, but I honestly like it, I am likely to repurchase it when it does run out as the colour is perfect and I would recommend you guys to buy this and give it a go.
