1496 My Favourite Christmas Songs

I know I know, the dreaded C word (although I think it is slightly nicer than the other C word, we’ve had this year). I am a lover of music in general, whatever mood I am in I want to listen to music (even when I have a headache) I will happily have music on just not as loud. I remember when I was in school the best thing about Christmas was having them blast as loud as they could get them while they were serving us Christmas dinner and everyone waving their hands in the air, everyone in a good mood, and all the teachers having silly hats on etc. When I worked in a shop, we had Christmas music playing for about 4 or 5 weeks which got boring, but it was a bit of fun on Christmas eve when we wore out Christmas jumpers and wore hats or reindeer ears etc.

After all, that is what Christmas is about right? Spending time with friends and family and having the right laugh! Considering what is happening in the world, Christmas is looking like it could be very different for many reasons. Some people won’t have the means to see family members, many families are going to struggle to cover the cost of Christmas. However, they cannot take the music away from us! Considering that, I thought I would share with you my favourite Christmas songs, ask you to share yours below in the comments and maybe introduce you to one or two that you hadn’t heard. Here are my top 13 that are my go-to’s.

There are some oldies in there, a couple you may not have heard before and of course some classics! If I have left out any of the main ones, please let me know. I prefer the upbeat party ones as you might be able to tell. Christmas songs are one of my favourite things about Christmas. (If it were up to me, they would play all year round.) I do want to point out, that although these are my favourites, I do listen to a lot more of them! What I think I shall do is put a link to a YouTube video for each of the ones listed… How does that sound?
