52 Maybelline Gel Eyeliner

I am a fan of this product; I loved the thought of gel eyeliner as I was struggling to find a liner that would stay on longer. So when I saw that shops like Superdrug, Boots etc were getting them in with their make-up brands. I did try the collectioIn2000 one first to see how I got on with it as it was £3 cheaper, I believe.

It took me a minute to get used to the application as it is very different from other liners. I luckily had a liner brush already so if you don’t have one I suggest you go and get one if you are thinking about using this liner. I use the one from the Bundle Monster collection which I love, works perfectly!

So when I actually got around to buying this the price was a little bit pricey at £7.99 but I would say after using it for a while and still having the same one working perfectly the price you pay is well worth the price. I had already got the hang of applying so I didn’t have a problem there. If you are stuck with the application let me know and I will give you some tips.

The packaging is a little bulky because you get a brush in the box, you can use the brush you get, and I did for the first month or so but I found that the brush is short so it can get tricky to see what you are doing properly as your hand gets in the way sometimes, so I started using my liner brush.

They both gave the same effects with the liner; the only difference was that the one I already have was easier to use as it had a longer handle.

I found that the liner stayed on quite well, I have watery eyes so my eyeliner will never stay put 100% and I am wearing it for about 10 hours at a time for work so I do not expect it to still be on the corners of my eyes perfectly after work. At the same time, it does transfer to my lids or the bottom lash line which I found would sometimes happen with the collection 2000 one.

Overall, I like this product, I would recommend it to others, and I have done. Finally, I would repurchase it, which I think I must do I have had my current one for a while and it recommends only keeping it for 6 months once opened. I have kept it longer than that and have no problems but if you had really sensitive skin I would say get a new one. So for the price that is £7.99 twice a year, not bad right?
