2672 December 2023 Begins

Hey there! It's great to see you reading again! I hope you're doing well. How have we made it to December for another year, I cannot tell you. It feels like this year was one thing after another.

In today's post, I'll be sharing some thoughts about November, as well as some ideas for planning out the rest of the year. Whether you're someone who loves the holidays or someone who finds this time of year stressful, I hope you'll find something helpful and inspiring in this post. So, grab a cup of hot cocoa, get cosy, and let's get started!

First of all… November. Did you get up too much in November? I love hearing about people's plans, and I secretly take notes for next year. Did you manage to get out and see some fireworks? I didn't go to an event, but I did see quite a few from my bedroom window. I did get back in touch with a friend from college (I can't believe how long-ago college was). I enjoyed spending time with family and friends this month (for the most part anyway). As it was me, there had to be some sort of drama didn't there? The UK weather has been warm for November which I will admit I enjoyed. I love the look of snow but being out in it is not fun for me.

Other than running around seeing family, working, and getting things sorted I haven't had the chance to think let alone do things. Which I want to work hard on to change.

With the festive season in full swing, and Christmas adverts coming out, the weather has taken a turn to the minus temperatures but, there's an air of excitement and joy that fills the air. Whether it's the anticipation of Christmas, or any other holiday, this time of year is a special one for many. Although, I don't want to forget those people who this time of year is not so joyful for. December is a painful, stressful, and lonely month for some people. It's a time when families and friends come together to celebrate, exchange gifts, eat delicious food, and create lasting memories. Let's try and make sure no one feels alone this Christmas and just keep up good spirits.

As December begins, I am excited but so not ready to dive into all the holiday festivities and activities. There is always so much I want to get done over Christmas; I just don't get the time anymore. I should make a list with things like baking cookies, watching Christmas movies, picking out the perfect tree and anything else you can think of. I am also looking forward to spending time with loved ones, exchanging gifts, and enjoying delicious food.

It's been a tough year, a lot has happened in my personal life, and lots of things have changed, I've lost people, I've had many hospital appointments, things like getting flat tyres etc.

So, as we approach the end of 2023, I am already thinking ahead to the new year and all the possibilities it holds. I am on a mission to make next year better! I don't want to call it 'goals' because that just puts unnecessary pressure on it.

I want to take some time to think about reflecting on the past year and think about what I have learned and how I have grown. So, please leave any Christmas ideas you have or plans you have down below in the comments section.
