Last week I wrote a little post which involved the North London Hospice. Many of you will have no clue what I am going on about; some will know what I am on about. If you live in London, you will probably know the organisation and possibly would know the event.
Every year, around April. the North London Hospice host a fundraiser called the BIG FUN WALK. You walk from East Finchley tube (underground train) station to Westminster Abbey approx. 10 miles give or take. You go through many parks and along the pavements of London.
I’m not sure of the route from the top of my head, I will get the map out and do another post for you. I complete the walk with my mum and my sister every year. Between us, we have raised about £300. When is all accumulated, I will let you know how much we got? I am delighted to hand it over to a great cause as well. This is the fourth time I have completed this walk. We did the first one in 2013 and we have done it every year since.
The walk is amazing, tiring but in a good way. You start and you are full of energy and can’t wait to finish and when you finish you are low on energy, tired, and possibly cold but you don’t care. You helped make someone’s darkest hours as light as they can be. Without fundraisers, this organisation can’t function. More info to come…
