197 A Penny for your Thoughts

So, I have a few things I want to say or talk about. This is a serious post and probably one of the saddest.

Many of you will be aware of the attack in Manchester, England on the 22nd of May 2017. The first thing I want to say is that I am sorry to every single person affected by this event. My thoughts and condolences are with you and will be forever. I am in complete and utter shock. I also feel angry how there is nothing that could fix it after this sort of event happens, there are no takebacks, and families have been ruined. The families that are experiencing heartache like they never imagined do not deserve it. I am sorry that in this world going to a concert is not safe, you were let down by this human race.

Family, friends, and loved ones, I am thinking of you in this desperate time. Feelings are raw, eyes are wet, and hugs never felt better. I am wishing you to find peace in your current situation and hope you will learn how to live your new life. It will never be okay that your loved one got caught in a fight that was not theirs; it will never be okay that they lost their lives, but I wish you to find a way through the darkness.

This tragic event can never be changed or reversed. A ticket can be replaced or dealt with later. If your biggest priority is getting your refund on the ticket because Ariana Grande has cancelled her shows, you are the second worse human beings alive. There are 22 victims with hundreds of families wishing and begging to have their loved ones back, I think a refund should be the least of your concerns.

Also, I am pretty sure Ariana has cancelled her shows in your best interest, she has your safety in her mind. No one should be expected to perform just days after. She will return when she is ready and only then should she be expected to return. You will never know if Ariana Grande cancelling her London dates means that your life was spared.

I cannot begin to imagine what people must be going through to have a loved one snatched away so suddenly. The last thing they discussed will be engraved in their hearts forever.

There is no point in finding someone to blame. It may have been that the authorities did know about the coward that released heartache to so many people, but if they did or not, it would not change the facts. It may grant closure, but the world has let the victims down once, it is time to do right by them and give them the last say. Live your life for them, don’t spend your life trying to get answers or revenge.

It is easier said than done 100%, but I want everyone to prove to every victim that evil has not won, that the evil will not continue, and that love can win. Don’t let evil tell you how to live, go to every concert in your town; go to every event in London. England, we are strong together, unite and conquer all.

Sleep tight little ones, and rest easy. You are the angels of Manchester; you have a front-row seat to every Ariana Grande concert. Taken too early, always loved but never forgotten. Rest easy and shine bright! Sorry, this world could not keep you safe on such a joyous occasion.
